my DREAM, my FUTURE

As I gaze into the horizon, I can't help but wonder what the next decade has in store for me. It's both an exciting and daunting prospect, filled with endless possibilities and the unknown.

What will my life look like 10 years from now? Will I have achieved the goals and dreams I've been nurturing, or will my path take an unexpected turn? These are the questions that often occupy my thoughts, fueling my ambition and igniting my imagination.

I envision a future where I've grown both personally and professionally, having honed my skills and pursued my passions with unwavering determination. Perhaps I'll have embarked on a fulfilling career that allows me to make a meaningful impact, or maybe I'll have started a family and be cherishing the joys of parenthood.

Whatever the specifics may be, I know that the journey ahead will be filled with both triumphs and challenges. But I'm ready to embrace them, to learn and grow, and to continuously strive towards becoming the best version of myself.

After all, the future is ours to shape, and the dreams we hold today have the power to become the realities of tomorrow. So, I'll continue to nurture my aspirations, to stay true to my values, and to have the courage to take the necessary steps to turn my vision into reality.

mother's day

In the Philippines, Mother's Day is a deeply revered tradition that celebrates the unwavering love and tireless devotion of mothers. Unlike the commercialized version often seen in other parts of the world, the Filipino way of honoring mothers is rooted in genuine appreciation and time-honored customs.

The essence of Mother's Day in the Philippines lies in the simple yet meaningful gestures that families make to pamper and honor their matriarchs. Mothers are typically given a well-deserved day off from their usual household chores, allowing them to relax and enjoy the day without the burden of their daily responsibilities.

A special meal, often featuring traditional Filipino dishes, is prepared with love and care, ensuring that mothers are treated to a culinary delight. Gifts and flowers are also common expressions of gratitude, as Filipinos seek to shower their mothers with tokens of their affection and appreciation.

These traditions are not merely superficial displays, but rather a reflection of the deep respect and reverence Filipinos hold for their mothers. Mothers are the backbone of the family, and this day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices they make and the unconditional love they provide.

As we celebrate Mother's Day, let us be inspired by the Filipino way of honoring our mothers – with heartfelt gestures, quality time, and a deep appreciation for the invaluable role they play in our lives. After all, a mother's love is truly the foundation upon which our lives are built.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOMMY AND LOLA MOMA!!

Change, it starts with me.

Wanting to change the world is a noble thought, and I’m sure we all want to make a difference in our own unique ways. But the question remains - where and how do we start?

I believe the answer lies within ourselves. True, lasting change often begins with the individual, with the small steps we take every day to live more consciously and make a positive impact on our immediate surroundings. It’s about recognizing that our actions, no matter how seemingly insignificant, have the power to ripple outwards and inspire others.

After all, the world is made up of individuals, and if each of us commits to being the change we wish to see, imagine the collective impact we could have. It might start with something as simple as reducing our plastic waste, volunteering in our local community, or having meaningful conversations that challenge the status quo.

The key is to start where we are, with what we have. We don’t need to have all the answers or take on the weight of the world’s problems.Instead, we can focus on the things we can control and the difference we can make, one step at a time.

Change is not easy, and the path ahead may be uncertain. But if we approach it with courage, compassion, and a deep belief in our collective power to make a difference, I believe we can truly transform the world around us. After all, it all starts with me.

Araw ng Kagitingan

April 9th marks Araw ng Kagitingan, or the Day of Valor, a national holiday in the Philippines that commemorates the bravery and sacrifice of Filipino and American soldiers who fought against the Japanese invasion during World War II.

The day is named after the Battle of Bataan and Corregidor, where these outnumbered and outgunned troops held off the Japanese onslaught for 69 days, inflicting heavy casualties and allowing the Allies to regroup and prepare for the eventual liberation of the Philippines.

Sadly, the defenders were eventually forced to surrender due to lack of supplies and reinforcements, but their heroic stand is a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Filipino people.

By commemorating Araw ng Kagitingan, we honor the memory of those who gave their lives to defend their homeland, and their legacy continues to inspire generations of Filipinos, reminding us of the importance of standing up for our freedom and independence, no matter the odds.

As we reflect on this day, let us be reminded of the enduring values of patriotism, bravery, and resilience that the soldiers of Bataan and Corregidor embodied, and ensure that their sacrifices will never be forgotten. J
